Nightmare for Prince Harry ‘on the outside’ as huge royal gamble backfires
Prince Harry is facing a fresh nightmare amid report he is feeling “on the outside” of the Royal Family after his huge gamble backfired.
The relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the rest of the Firm has been frosty since he moved to Montecito, California, with his wife Meghan Markle back in June 2020 – and the subsequent release of his tell-all memoir Spare and the couple’s Netflix series, which were a huge gamble for the couple.
It is reported that sources close to Harry have said he is “tired” of being on the outside of The Firm and even though he has no intention of giving his life up in the US, he could try to recover his reputation by continuing with his charity work. One insider said that King Charles’s diagnosis came as a huge shock to Harry.
However Tom Sykes, royal commentator for the Daily Beast said: “[Prince Harry] does not want to trade the glorious California sunshine and the freedom he, his wife, and kids have for a return to the stultifying goldfish bowl of royal life.”
He added: “[Prince Harry] would like to be a regular part of the philanthropic and social activism space again, rather than being a fixture of the gossip rags.”
King Charles, who is said to “adore” Prince Harry, “holds the key” to any sort of reconciliation and is “devasted by the split in the family”.
