Prince Harry blasted for ‘deplorable move’ to ‘cash in’ on Royal Family

Prince Harry was severely criticised by a royal expert for trying to “cash in” on his royal links by releasing his bombshell memoir, Spare.

The Duke of Sussex made headlines last year when, in January, his new book was released which contained a series of explosive claims about his life within the Firm.

Harry made several damning claims in the book, while he also talked about his relationship with King Charles and Prince William.

But now a royal expert blasted the duke and dubbed him a “very silly boy” for attacking his father and brother and described the move as “deplorable”.

Royal commentator Jennie Bond told the Sun: “It [attacking the Royal Family] was deplorable and stupid – I think he was a very silly boy to write Spare.”

Meanwhile, the publication’s royal photographer, Arthur Edwards, also joined the live show and slammed the duke for attacking his own family.

He said: “He wanted to leave the Royal Family and he wanted to live in America with Meghan – that’s his choice.

“But then to go and start being really nasty about the royal family just to make money.

“When Edward VIII abdicated and became the Duke of Windsor he went abroad too.

“But he never, ever said anything about the royal family – he might have met Hitler but he didn’t say a bit about the royal family.”

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have been estranged from the Firm since their sensational departure from it in 2020, have not made any further claims against the Royal Family since the book’s release.

Some royal watchers have pointed out that this new shift in their approach could be a way for them to gear up for any potential reconciliation with the royals.
