Kate Middleton announced the completion of her chemotherapy treatment on September 9, revealing the news in a video message featuring footage of her family enjoying some time together.
And according to a friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales, the video was meant to send a strong message for the future. “It’s the reset to end all resets,” the insider tells The Daily Beast. “This is Kate and William as they mean to go on. It’s family first and fuck the haters, fuck the press, fuck Harry and Meghan.”
The source adds that, “It helps that they actually are like this. If you go to a kid’s birthday party at their house, they will be the ones organizing games for all the kids whereas the rest of us would happily get an entertainer in and be drinking wine in the kitchen.”
In the video message, Kate indicates how much her perspective on life has changed since her cancer diagnosis. “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” she confesses.
“With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”
The Princess of Wales also notes, “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
