Jealousy issues between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reported as old argument surfaces

actions that distance them from the principles of the British royal family.

Heated arguments, often ending in shouting matches, are some of the issues Prince Harry himself confirmed in his book Spare.

In the memoir, the Duke of Sussex narrated an incident where he acted “cruelly” towards his wife during a fight fueled by cultural differences, language barriers, and “wine that went to his head.”

Prince Harry, 39, admitted that he was already in a fragile state after “weeks of battling with the press” and took Meghan‘s words the wrong way during a night of cooking, after dancing to songs by James Taylor and Nina Simone.

“For some reason, when the conversation took an unexpected turn, I became touchy. Then I got angry – disproportionately, recklessly angry. Meg said something I took badly… I thought: Why is she getting at me? I yelled at her, spoke harshly, cruelly,” Prince Harry shared, according to The Mirror.

Meghan, originally from Los Angeles, left the room after this argument. When Harry followed her to talk, she gave him an ultimatum: “I will never tolerate being spoken to like that.”

Although this happened in December 2016, just months after they started dating, Harry quickly realized that Markle “wasn’t going to tolerate that kind of partner.” She questioned his behavior and even suggested he switch therapists.

“She wasn’t going to tolerate that kind of partner. Or co-parent. That kind of life. She wasn’t going to raise her children in an atmosphere of anger or disrespect. She said it all, very clearly,” Harry reflected.

This tense moment caused Harry to feel like “everything stopped,” particularly when he realized how his words had driven his partner away, even if just for a few moments.

“When the words left my mouth, I could feel everything in the room stop. The sauce stopped bubbling, the air molecules stopped swirling. Even Nina Simone seemed to stop,” Harry confessed.
