Prince William & Kate Middleton Might Be Looking to Move but It Won’t Be This Royal Residence

Prince William and Kate Middleton might be on the move in the near future. The couple, who relocated to Adelaide Cottage in 2022 after calling Kensington Palace their primary home for years, are reportedly looking for more space as Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, get older.

While Royal Lodge seems like a logical choice for them now that King Charles III is yanking Prince Andrew’s security detail, the property is in desperate need of renovations.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have also enjoyed the coziness and privacy of Adelaide Cottage, so jumping to a 31-room home feels daunting.

That leaves the long-vacant Frogmore Cottage. If Andrew refuses to move there, will William, Kate, and their kids make the big leap?

The turn-key property is desperate for someone to move in, but it seems William and Kate won’t even consider it. GB News anchor Anne Diamond claimed that Kate would “not move somewhere redesigned by Meghan Markle,” suggesting that their rift runs too deep. “It’s a huge place,” she said.

“But if it was redone by Meghan and Harry, I can’t imagine Kate wanting to move into a place that was designed and redone by Meghan and not William either.”

Frogmore Cottage was Harry and Meghan’s pride and joy, and they had hoped to keep it as their U.K. residence after exiting the royal family.

It was, after all, a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth II. Despite paying their rent on time and reimbursing U.K. taxpayers for the renovations, Charles punished the Sussexes for spilling the royal tea in their Netflix special, Harry & Meghan, and Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare.
