Harper Seven, David Beckham’s Daughter, Wears Two Star of David Pendants

Soccer star David Beckham is proudly “half-Jewish.” He grew up wearing kippahs and eating matzah ball soup every weekend at his Jewish grandfather Joseph’s house, who was also the person who made him want to be a soccer (or as he would call it, football) player. “I’ve probably had more contact with Judaism than with any other religion,” he shared in his autobiography.

And it turns out that he’s passed on that Jewish pride to his kids. Or at least to the youngest of his four children, Harper Seven Beckham, who last week filmed a video promoting her mother, Victoria Beckham’s, make-up line.

In the video, the 13-year-old can be seen with her long blonde hair loose, trying on a sheer shade of Beckham’s new lip balm (called Posh Balm, of course), and on her neck is a gold chain on which there are not one but two Star of David pendants.

It’s a look we’ve previously seen on Alana Haim at the “Hacks” season three premiere, and honestly, I really love it. Let’s all make stacked Magen David necklaces the fall 2024 look.

Harper doesn’t say anything in the video and doesn’t have her own social media accounts, so we don’t know what her feelings about Judaism are, but she did just turn 13, so maybe being bat mitzvah age made her feel more connected to her Jewish heritage.

Another big Jewish presence in Harper’s life is her sister-in-law, actress Nicola Peltz, her eldest brother Brooklyn Beckham’s wife.

He and Nicola, whose father is Jewish, got married in a lavish Jewish ceremony in 2022, with the groom and his father wearing monogrammed kippahs.

There was a floral chuppah and horah dancing (yes, David got lifted on a chair) and a rabbi who accidentally called the groom by his father’s name twice (is there anything more Jewish than a rabbi endearingly fumbling your vows?).
